We are taking advantage of a longer spring break this year to bring more events at bothJo Ann Roberts, CBC Radio Victoria Arts Connection and other locations in Victoria - including Intrepid Studio (see below) and The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria - see Venues page. SPECIAL EVENT AT THEATRE INCONNU
Theatre Inconnu and Dark Horse Books are proud to sponsor a Playwrights' Cabaret
and the launch of Inconnu Dramabooks at the Little Fernwood Hall, 1923 Fernwood Road
at 7:00 PM on Sunday March 16, 2008.
Victoria's Charles Tidler will read from his plays Rappaccini's Daughter and The Butcher's Apron. Jordan Zinovich, who hails from Brooklyn, New York, will present a play for voices, a workshop reading of his play based on his novel Gabriel Dumont in Paris (University of Alberta Press).

ART ART AND MORE ART!

PFB International Art Exhibition Updates:
Once again we are absolutely thrilled with the amount and quality of submissions for this year's exhibition which includes more than 50 artists from Canada, the US and Europe. Audiences from last year will be interested to see how the theme "A Climate of Change" has influenced the kinds of works submitted this year. The personal and global reflections show how art can push the boundaries and our understanding.....THIS SHOW IS NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Island Illustrators - A Climate of Change Exhibition
The Island Illustrator's exhibition
on the festival theme "A Climate of Change" opens at the Community Arts Council Gallery March 13-19th. Featuring 15 artists who have created brand new work addressing this topic the opening with the artists will feature a special appearance and reading by John Barton of the Malahat Review.

Join us for this exciting celebration of art and literature on Thursday March 13th at 7pm.

Featuring works by illustrator members: Dianne Bersea, Kristi Bridgeman, April Caverhill, Julia Cairnes, Karel Doruyter, Ron Finnen, Sandra Fowler, Robyn Hall, Olga Lang, Maria Miranda Lawrence, Wendy Page, Gudrun Rausch, Marcia Semenoff, and Natalie Shumka.

Spoken Word
Congratulations to Jane Bee and the Victoria Poetry Slam team members Stephen J. Thompson, Michael Sheely ( M. Power) Scott Townson (strong cottonwoods) who made the semi finals and placed 7th nationally in Halifax, Nova Scotia Oct 10-13th at this annual festival.

Victoria has been chosen to host the 2009 festival!
