Call for Festival Volunteers
The Pacific Festival of the Book needs your help! Volunteers will receive a FREE Pacific Festival of the Book T-Shirt and a FREE Book from publishers and writers participating in the festival ! This is a great opportunity to be involved with a dynamic arts event - meet new people and have fun! A number of interesting and fun volunteer postions are available for before, during and after the day of the festival including:
*entrance and ticket selling *workshop sign up
*session managers (help to set up and control entry/exit to workshop studio, introduce speakers)
*visitor assistance - security and directing people to facilities like washrooms, elevators etc. *parking lot attendants
*art gallery assistants - ensure that visitors do not touch the artwork and in some cases assist visitors with orientation to interactive installations and rare book displays
*art exhibition installation
* stage managers - ensure smooth running of Open Mic, announcements, set up
*set up and strike teams
*concession service

Shifts
Shifts will be organized in 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours. Volunteers will receive an official festival volunteer tshirt, bottled water and free access to the festival. Other Volunteer Opportunities: Organizing a festival like this requires many hours and people with diverse interests in the arts as well as a variety of skills. If you would like to help the organizing committee please let us know! we appreciate your help!
